Identity.org donates 1% of the sales from Identity.com to nonprofit organizations and projects we believe are making a positive and transformative impact on the Internet.
Here are the organizations we're supporting during this sales period (April 1 - June 30, 2015):
Creative Commons develops, supports, and stewards legal and technical infrastructure that maximizes digital creativity, sharing, and innovation. Their vision is to realize the full potential of the Internet — universal access to research and education, full participation in culture — to drive a new era of development, growth, and productivity.
The Internet Archive is a nonprofit that was founded to build an Internet library. Its purposes include offering permanent access for researchers, historians, people with disabilities, and the general public to historical collections that exist in digital format. They believe that digital libraries are essential to fostering education and scholarship in this era of digital technology.
The Wikimedia Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to encouraging the growth, development and distribution of free, multilingual, educational content, and to providing the full content of these wiki-based projects to the public free of charge. The Foundation operates some of the largest collaboratively edited reference projects in the world, including Wikipedia.
